Trent Baalke has a penchant for drafting for the future, rather than immediate need, right?

maillot nfl pas cher,So the San Francisco 49ers getting shut out of ESPN.com NFL Insider Mike Sando's re-ranking of the 2014 draft should come as no surprise. Meaning, none of the Niners' top picks from a year ago made Sando's top 25 selections, which were made after consulting league talent evaluators and can be found here.

No Jimmie Ward, who appeared in only eight games after the defensive back re-fracturing a foot.

No Carlos Hyde, who is the heir apparent to Frank Gore at running back.

No Chris Borland, the linebacker who started eight games but retired fearful of injury.

None of 49ers' 12 draft picks made the cut, and while that may sting on first blush, be secure in the knowledge that Baalke does not care. As noted above, he has a formula, and whether you agree with it or not, he's going to stick to it.

You saw it on full display this past April and May, when the 49ers did not use any draft picks on inside linebackers or cornerbacks, despite there being pressing needs at the position.

The thinking? He drafted for those needs a year earlier. Plus, the Niners' first pick in 2014 did not come until 30th overall, which many would see as rare to find an immediate difference maker in that spot.

In fact, when looking at Sando's re-rankings, only two NFC West draft picks made the list ... and they both came from the same St. Louis Rams outfit -- No. 2-ranked Aaron Donald, an absolute beast at defensive tackle, and No. 22 Greg Robinson, an offensive tackle.

The top-ranked pick? Look up I-880 from Santa Clara to the Oakland Raiders and find linebacker Khalil Mack, who was selected fifth overall. Then there's quarterback Derek Carr, listed 11th after being a second-round pick.

The 49ers draftee from last year still in the league who might deserve to be listed in the top 25? Ahead of such players as Cleveland guard Joel Bitonio, ranked 20th, or Detroit tight end Eric Ebron, who is 24th?

Let's go with fifth-rounder Aaron Lynch, who played in all 16 games, starting three at outside linebacker, and whose six sacks were tied for the team lead.

All if which leads to the obvious and speculative question: Which of this year's 10 Niners draft picks will be ranked in Sando's top 25 next year at this time?
